In the Digital Storytelling course at the Hussman School of Journalism, I explored the fundamentals of Adobe Premiere Pro and honed my visual storytelling skills. The course provided creative freedom to experiment with video editing techniques, helping me craft engaging narratives and build a strong foundation in multimedia production. This experience deepened my passion for combining technical skills with creativity to tell impactful stories.
For my first assignment in the Digital Storytelling course, I created a demo project inspired by the simple, long-form vlog style she admires on YouTube. The video captured adventures she and her roommate shared during the first week of classes, featuring her roommate narrating and reviewing highlights such as campus events, activities, and food they tried. Through this project, I explored the art of casual yet engaging storytelling, experimenting with pacing and narrative flow to create a relatable and personal piece.

As part of a group assignment, I collaborated on a short video highlighting the struggle of finding a seat and one's group in Davis Library. I contributed to conceptualizing the story, ensuring it was relatable and humorous, and handled the video editing to bring the group's ideas to life. By combining dynamic cuts, comedic timing, and thoughtful pacing, the final video effectively captured the shared frustration of navigating the crowded library, resonating with the student audience.
