As the Social Media and Outreach Coordinator for the Carolina Covenant Student Advisory Council, I create engaging Reels and social media posts to highlight events and celebrate scholar culture. Her work fosters community among Covenant Scholars by promoting resources, success stories, and campus involvement opportunities. Through my role, I supports the mission of the Carolina Covenant to empower students from low-income backgrounds to thrive at UNC-Chapel Hill.
I conceptualized and filmed a reel to showcase the fun, relaxing, and welcoming environment of the Carolina Covenant office. The video featured members of the Student Advisory Council and Carolina Connectors engaging in activities like coloring, snacking, and dancing, capturing genuine moments of joy and camaraderie. The main goal was to encourage Covenant Scholars to visit the office, even if just to grab a snack or enjoy a quick chat, fostering a sense of belonging and community. To achieve this, I used dynamic camera angles, smooth transitions, and upbeat background music to align with the Carolina Covenant's inclusive and supportive culture.

To highlight an event's impact, I created a reel recapping the Covenant Connections dinner, which is designed to connect current Covenant Scholars with alumni, staff, and mentors. Using an interview-style format, I captured participants sharing who they connected with, their event highlights, and memorable takeaways. The video combined candid responses with dynamic editing to convey the event’s impact, fostering a sense of inspiration and community. This reel aimed to highlight the value of networking opportunities provided by the Carolina Covenant and encourage greater attendance at future events.
